Cheer Up, It’s Yule Time!

December 20, 2007 |

jul4-1.jpgAfter a terrible week, that did not end so good, we decided it was time for a cheer up. So today we motored into town and have been shopping for Yule. And most of the presents are now secured, well hidden for prying eyes and snooping kids.

The only one left now is Nan. She is the worst of them all, so I think I have to wait a few days if I am going to have snowballs chance in a furnace to keep it secret.

Anyway, we hung up some decorations today to complement the tree, and Nan got some frames for the pictures of my family that arrived with the presents from Norway. Else hanging above the tree on the wall, is a big old, pum-puy Santa Clause, complete with beard and sack of presents.

Heurn had to receive one of his presents today though. A pair of new shoes for school. The old ones where falling apart, and he was being bugged by the teachers to appear in presentable shoes. Anyway, he presented the best smile I have seen on his face so far. And he is generally a cheer full feller.

The menu for the dinner, at Yule Eve, has been set. It will be both farang and Thai dishes. As the night really is for the kids, it will be their favourite foods, plus something for me an Nan. Provided my limited skills in the kitchen does not fail me. Whatever I make, Nan is always observing and taking mental notes. And then when she does, it always tastes 100% better.

That’s It!

Happy Hollidaze to all. Good luck with your “NAN” gift, LOL.
Heading to Thailand in a couple of weeks for my last visit until the big move.
