Fish at the Wat

The village is raising money for an upcoming celebration at the Wat. So this afternoon we were invited to go fishing in the pond at the Wat grounds.
So with my little Ultra light rod we set forth, and spent a good hour, where Heart pulled up cat fish after catfish, with a huge grin on his face.
The bait was snails that Nan fished out of the water with her hands, they grow along the bank it would seem.
I got myself a nice little barb and tiny catfish. Nan was luckier, and also got an impressive catch.
Well, not much else to tell today. In the morning we motored to Putthaisong and did some shopping at the market that’s all.

Wow, not especially alike the cods we used to catch some years ago…
