I mentioned the other that that Nan gave a bright red Ferrari jacket. Well, my mom got wind of this, and sent the following e-mail to Nan:
Dear Nan!
Could you be kind and take a picture of Rune in the red Ferrari jacket and e-mail or put it on the blog. I am used to only seeing him in military green or khaki colors,
Hug from your mom-in-law.
PS. Rune I’ll hold you responsible for translating this for Nan, hug to you as well, Mom
Well, since it is my mom, what else can I do. So here I am in all my red glory. I look like a lingonberry on wheels when driving my Honda click and wearing it. But I guess I just have to suffer trough this. Luckily it’s not cold enough to wear it yet.
In other news, the work on the kitchen has started up again. They are building the kitchen benches as I write this. It will be the most solid pieces of furniture in the known universe. As they are using two-by-fours to build the frame, and plywood for the side panels. Also using 2cm thick plywood plates for the tops, and we cover that with tiles and grout it. So should the sky fall down, I know where I will hide. Anyway, it will look acceptable when finished.
Nan was out with the camera and took pictures of other kitchens in the village made by the same man. And the end results are not too bad. Of course there where also a ton of baby pictures, as the houses that has something resembling a modern kitchen are the ones with young couples in them. And there always is a baby or two.
She must enjoy taking pictures of kitchens, because she came back from Sri Lanka with about a memory card full of pictures of the kitchen in my apartment there. Every detail caught in digital. Anyway she is out there right now bossing the carpenter around, so I know this is going to be built right.
Else nothing much going on. I tried my hands at fishing yesterday, but came back empty handed again. But now I got a few posters at the fishing forum, so I may get some tips.

OK, this must definitely be a manipulated picture? This is about as obscure as seeing you with a scottish kilt or some dancer’s costume! RED?! Lingon it is, yeah…
the jacket looks nice, you, however, look somewhat psychotic….
Well, I did have a picture taking Nan in front of me, who was giggling so much she almost peed her herself, hence the out of focus picture

I thought it was that Michael Schummacher guy. At least you won’t get lost in the forest for too long as they will spot you easily.
Just be careful around the buffaloes in the village. They don’t like red. That would be something to see. A farang running down the village road with a buffalo chasing him.
OK, I’ve had enuff! One thing is Rune in a red jacket. Quite another thing is the thought of Rune running… I am just dying here now, rolling on the floor laughing! No more of this, pleeeeease!!!
If the gods had intended man to be running, they would not have equipped us with two feet. One for the gas pedal and one for the clutch.
Clearly it is Nan’s intent to help Rune blend in more with his surroundings so that he does not stand out so much. I am sure that in this outfit, no one will notice him at all!
