A Good Start

September 26, 2007 |

The day started as well as it only can when you open your eyes and a beautiful lady is looking at you and smiling. So I stretched a little, yawned, grabbed her and then we just lay there holding each other for a while. Then somebody knocked on the door.

Yup we had overslept and the work crew had arrived. Up in a hurry to let them have access to their tools. And since then it has been power saws and hammers going non stop. The roof of the new hong nam is up, and they have laid the piping, and started bricking up the walls.

I had to do a bit of supervising, followed by a tirade of yak-yak’ing from Nan, accompanied with a lot of smiles, and laughter from all. They had forgotten to put in the water pipe for the washing machine. So for once the farang had something smart to say. Luckily the error was discovered in time.

So now Nan has positioned herself on a stool in the middle of the new room. Where her eagle eyes are quick to point out the slightest miscalculation on the crew’s behalf.

Else fellow blogger Geoff from Geoffandamy.com called me this morning. They have landed in Thailand and are on their way to Amy’s home in Isaan. So see you in a few days, I’m keeping the beer Chang cold for you!

Ok, time to get out there and haul cinder block for the crew!

That’s it!

OH MAN,,, and here I am in Pattaya for the last few daze of my journey, UGH. I wish there were more time. I am how ever talking to a local Motorcycle shop owner ( Yes HARLEY DAVIDSON ) about maybe working here in Pattaya. The offer is quite tempting I must say but I fear living in Pattaya will not be good on a relationship, I am a man and know my downfalls :o)
Anyway we might be seeing more of each other come next year, if I take the job it will be after January so I may be a resident for at least a year.
