The Time is Nigh

Okay, so this is my last post before I fly out of here. By this time tomorrow, I should be on final approach to BKK. And Nan should arrive at the airport about the same time as me.
Her Bus is also leaving Putthaisong at the same time as I head for the airport tomorrow morning. So we’ll give each other a wake-up call, and then start traveling to meet up.
I called her a little while ago, and she was in “The Hut”, giving it a last cleaning run before I arrive. She is so nervous about it that it’s almost funny.
It was like that the first time she took me to the village as well. She was a bundle of nerves sitting next to me in the car. And as we turned off the highway and onto the village road, I had to stop the car and reassure her. She was so scared of what I would think of the village, her mothers house, and everything related to me coming with her.
This time it does not feel like I am going on Holiday at all. I am going home. A great portion of that feeling is from the way I have been welcomed in the family. But also because this time there will be no teary farewell at the airport. She is coming back to La-la land with me. Now there is a whole lot of other places I would like to show her in the world than this sorry excuse for a country, but it will give us a head start in living together as a couple. And we need that.
It was so good to listen to her chirping away on the phone today. And tomorrow I get to see her, hold her in my arms, smell her and the world will be so right again.
Ok…now for the bad news. I won’t be bringing my laptop. So as usual there wont be any new posts until we are back on the 18th of August. Meanwhile, visit some of the other blogs on the Blog to the right.
Ok, I have to start packing, see ya!

Best of luck to you, I hope you have the light of love in this dismal place called ‘the west’.
I have not been in the “West” for almost 18 months. I work in an Asian country. So thats where I bring her. She is going to stay with me for my last 3 weeks, and then my contract ends and I am free again… and we return to Thailand
