June 30, 2007 | 4 Comments
Well, this morning work started on the hut. They appear to be working from the top down. Starting with putting in an inner ceiling. That should help keep the heat down inside a little bit.
She claims to have spent only 23 000 baht so far in materials. But she is in doubt if she have […]

Returning to La-La Land
June 29, 2007 | 6 Comments
The last few days in the village was spent fishing by the river, being lazy and generally enjoying each others company. Nan’s niece were returning to work in Chonburi, so we loaded my stuff, and the young lady into the car, and headed south-west again.
This was Friday, and I was flying out on Sunday night. […]

Yikes, the family […]

Revisiting the Hut
June 27, 2007 | 8 Comments
Next morning we got on Nan’s Honda, and puttered over the other side of the village to have another look at the “hut”.
There was quite a few things that had to be done, to make it into a home, but it can be done without spending to much. It’s a solid build. All we need […]

Gone Fishing
June 26, 2007 | 3 Comments
On arrival in the village it we were greeted by Luk Dik, Nan’s mongrel of a dog. He was on his best behaviour and did not jump up on me once. Her mom was off visiting a neighbour, so we just had a shower, and Nan cooked up something to eat. Then we went fishing.

Buriram
June 26, 2007 | 2 Comments
So motored on to Buriram. We entered the town just as the streets where filled with students on motorbikes. The Police where out in big numbers and stopped quite a few driving without helmets and probably for other things as well.
I was happy. They where to busy to bother with a confused farang. We drove […]

We woke up the next morning and decided to stay in bed for a while. So we did not get up until around noon. We checked out of the hotel, and headed for Surin. Since my GPS did the navigation it chose the shortest route. So we actually drove trough Phutthaisong and passed only a […]
