Surprise!

When I was out and about with Nan, some people remarked how similar she looked to my ex. girlfriend Lek. Well, she has some of the same facial features, and they are both from the Buri Ram province. Well, it turns out the similarities does not stop there…

I am planning my next trip, and since it involves a road trip, where we will also stop by her village for a day or two, and the fact that I am bored out of my mind, I wanted to have a look at some maps and find out where her village is. So a call to Nan, and she gave me the name of the amphoe (district). I look it up on the map and think the area look slightly familiar.

So I dig out my GPS, and look up Lek’s village. You guessed it. It is in the same amphoe. The two ladies grew up within kilometers of each other. I never managed to take note of the name of Leks village, and I do not know the exact location of Nan’s village. But with my luck I bet the two families probably go shopping in the same market town.

So my mind is currently on overdrive. I can just picture it. We go shopping in the market, and bump into Lek’s family. It would not even surprise me if it turns out the two are related.

This is going to be interesting!

The danger is fortunately over. After carefull research, I found that Nan’s village is about as far from Lek’s village as possible, and that they go to another market town for their shopping.

So I am somewhat relieved to make an understatement
