Easy Pickings

For some reason Nan is totally fascinated by my left ear. I don’t know what she finds so special about it. It is an ordinary ear. I am sure because I have studied it in the mirror.
The thing is that she is constantly picking at it with her long fingernails. When she is not doing that she is blowing hard into it, something that has me in stitches every time. To much tika tee. But I guess that’s her revenge after I found her special soft spot. 
It is not only my ear that gets her attention. The area around my eyes are constantly scrutinized. If something that should not be there shows up, she is immediately there with her fingernails again. Carefully removing any offensive matter.
I had to stop here once when she got that concentrated look, out came the fingernails, and she tried to jam them up my nose. Thank you but there is a limit teerak!
However it is rather nice when she gets an ice cold wet cloth and wipes me down after a sweating walk, although all this attention in full public makes me feel like a 3 year old out with mom.
I also get that feeling when she grabs my arm to escort me safely across a street. Back home that’s the mans job! But hey this is Thailand. You will be taken care of weather you like it or not. And I have to admit I love the attention!
